I know that Morgan gets a bad rap sometimes, but in the right situation, he can be really really good.

Here he is on 2 Cincinnati Reds teams, 100 cap, 10.30 version

Andy, you just don't get it. When you find a player that has a couple of good years for you, you're supposed to go through your old leagues and find a dozen where he stunk, then post those.

Morgan doesn't get a bad rap because he doesn't produce, it's because he's overpriced for offense he gives you. He's probably priced fairly when you take defense into account, but that is nearly impossible to measure compared to all the hitting stats available at our fingertips.

I think Morgan's 10.30M year (1976) is the one we've all been waiting for.

Unless I'm remembering it all wrong, it was his other two years we had first, and those seemed the relative offensive duds. I've used Joe in more than one 140M league, and with very good results. For example:

I think he'd be a good buy in a 100M league as well, as andy's numbers seem to show.

In a theme league (< 600 PAs and no SP*), Joe ain't killing it. He's ranked #3 for second baseman's OPS behind Nap Lajoie and Tubby Scales
