My Compliments

It has been a long while since I played ATG, I think over 4 years, and much has changed. The teams that I see being created by you managers out there are pretty amazing. It would appear that the addition of so many new cards has allowed for a lot of creativity in designing teams. Or, maybe you guys are just really smart and experienced... To me, it really is like watching artists at work. You guys are really good at this.

I am getting hammered with my first two teams. I might win 70-75 with my first team (it would have been much worse without some timely advice from the boards) and 74- 78 with my second team. The good news is that I'm having a blast(and burning tons of time) learning the new cards. Good times.

But back to you guys. Well frickin' done.I am very impressed.

CTS: Just wondering....did you have a previous handle? I, too, have been "gone" for years now, and I must admit your post has me tucking the credit card back into its, not very well-protected, billfold. Is it really that tough "out there" now?

Welcome back to the old neighborhood, Scot. I keep waiting for your blog post on the real blue meth showing up in Alburquerque.

The new neighborhood isn't that much different than the old - you can still win with smallball, bashers, killer lefty lineups in Dunn or righties in Minute Maid, but there's about 1.4 billion more combinations with all the new players. I've seen teams win with all 1s on defense, and teams like my new favorite strategy of terrible defense with stud hitters and top 10 SPs with no relievers.

Hope you stick around.
