Southpaws...

Didn't know this trivia...
Left handed pitchers are called 'southpaws' because early baseball stadiums were built so the right-handed batter faced east. This was because the sun wouldn't be in the batter's eyes. Early baseball games were played during only during the day. When the left-handed pitcher stood on the mound, his arm throwing arm was facing south.

Id like to weigh in on the insurance thing as well;

I used to get 1 credits every 6 months, plus an additional yearly credit for a total of 3 per year.

Now they tell me that if I enroll in the semi-annual program I will only get 1 every 6 months.

So instead of getting essentially 3 for my participation, Im now down to 2... :? :? :?

So.......why weren't right-handed pitchers nick-named "northpaws?"

B/C canines always pee to the north so a northpaw would essentially be piss-

My dog only has 3 paws, so we are careful not to pull any 8-)
my understanding is that dogs do always pee facing north.
