Ignorant question about rotation

Couldn't find this in FAQ.

I think the last time I played the on-line game, there was a way to indicate that I wanted to use my highest-ranked rested starter. It does not appear in the control set for my ATG7 team. Further, if I remember correctly, in the old interface for by-game-pitching assignments, there were 9 consecutive days and then a day off (rest).

Here's what I'm trying to achieve. I have two top starters with * (3 days' rest) and three other guys without (4 days rest). I want to use #1* and #2* on 3 days rest each, and rotate the other three guys to fill in the pair of games between the two top guys' starts. Thus:
Code: Select all
       1*  2*  3  4     1*  2*  5  3    1*  2* 4  5  <repeat>

¿IS THERE ANY WAY TO DO THIS IN THE ATG7 CONTROLS WITHOUT HAND-CODING IT BY GAME?
or is that my option?

Thanks.

Not sure this will work but if default rotation is 1* 2* 3 4 as a four man rotation I would think Hal would know to pitch the 1and 2 every 4th game and get the 5 guy only when needed to fill in for the 3 and 4.

If set up your Rotation this way, your two * starters will pitch every fourth game and HAL will place the 3, 4, 5 guys in the open slots.
That particular setup creates two "rotations", a two-man * rotation who will each start @40 games in a season and a three-man Non* rotation who will each start @27 games in a season.
