i'm in a league with over 700k left available. the drop is the 5/10/20 program. is their a rule or a HALism that prevents me or other players from changing our players card year depending on varying circumstances such as ballpark, pitcher slant ,etc.?

I think the only thing that would prevent you from changing a player is if you are past the 120game mark or if you pass the total number of times you can swap out players. I don't remember the cap on transactions. I have never had a problem swapping player years during a season. But, I don't think I have ever done that more than twice on any particular player.

is the number for "swapping out" the same for both ATG and the Mystery games? the mystery games involve almost endless free agent action.

There is no limit on the number of transactions you can have. So as long as you have the cash to do the drop and add it will allow you to do so.

However, there is an unwritten rule that many adhere to that things like swapping cards just to match up with ballparks or opposing team matchups is a violation of etique. I am almost certain that if you do this frequently someone will complain. I know when we had the TSN live drafts things like this usually led to debates on the boards whether the person was cheating or not.

This is one of the reasons I would never join a live draft there. And I would avoid joining a max cap live draft now. But I suppose one could argue that joining one now that we have the ability to cap a live draft there is an implied agreement that all the actions that were once considered shady are now acceptable. After all if you were not wanting everyone to be able to do things like this to take advantage of all the extra cash then why not set a cap limit that is low enough to make them financially unworkable. At least have a $200 mil cap. But that might also be assuming too much.

I think best idea is to bring it up to the league first and see if there is a consensus or anyone who objects.
Going forward if you are thinking of doing this would recommend creating/joining leagues that explicitly allow it. Otherwise expect to have high potential for controversy.

This might make an interesting poll type question.

controversy: a battle in which spittle or ink replaces the injurious cannon ball and the inconsiderate bayonet! this will be fun.

I went back and checked tge rules. I thought there was a cap on transaction. Tge cap is actually on players. You can not have more than 125 distinct players on your roster in a given season.

.......in the past it counted each time a particular player was on your team as a distinct player. At leasy then, if you swapped between Pedro 5 day to pedro 4 day and back to Pedro 5 day it would count as three distinct players. Not sure if that still holds true.

If you had 27 $15m players that would only be $405m. Impossible for you to get down to 700k.
