tough pitch to master, harder on the arm than the curve because of twisting the arm 'in' instead of 'out' (try it) I know I sometimes have to aim mine outside the lh batter's box (behind the lefty hitter) to get it to backdoor over the plate. not saying i am Mike Cuellar, just that, since his '66 card is one of my all-time favorites and I am a lefty, I had to try to learn it. for me, twice as hard as the curve at least.
not much surprise that Marichal is the righty shown who threw one...
