The city of Cleveland has almost completed a 6.3 million restoration and renovation of League Park (aka Dunn Field).
Here is a link to and article concerning League Park:

Also, if any of you are on Twitter, follow @LeagueParkCle for more updates and current pictures. They have constructed a new 40-ft high RF wall as the old League Park had. The plan is for the whole complex to be an enclosed facility for recreation, with the League Park Field, a softball field that sits where the old LF grandstands were, as well as a walking track. Possibly even host high school games.

I have seen two dates for the reopening: either Saturday, August 23, or Wednesday, August 27. I wonder if the Wednesday date I saw is not a typo. Anyway, if you live in or around Cleveland, something you may want to check out.

This should be most interesting; nice to see them restoring some of the venerable traditions of the game. It also is occurring in a part of town that could use a boost.

I also saw today that the current stadium is going to get some renovations. It's hard to believe it was 20 years ago that it opened!

Andre Thornton will be the Master of Ceremonies and Travis Hafner will wear a 1920s era Cleveland uniform and take aim at the 45 foot high RF wall, only 290 feet away. Closer and taller than the Green Monster back in the day and on the restoration as well.

To go along with the reopening, Cleveland State University's library has set up an online collection of photos of League Park over the years, including the demolition in the early 50s. There's also a brief write-up, though that could probably use an edit. Anyway, here's the link:
