Just a quick question to go with your cruller and coffee:

Who is the only modern player to have played over 200 games at 1B, 2B, 3B and SS?

No, Jackie didn't play many games in MLB at SS (and surprisingly didn't reach 200 games at 1B but did have over 150 games in the OF).

Have another danish. :)

Good guess, Andy, but Young didn't spend enough time at 1B.

Have some more coffee cake.

I might have thought Honus, too, but he didn't play enough games at 2B.

Have a chocolate donut (with sprinkles).

Just a hint...we were closer in terms of time with Michael Young.

I know Tony Phillips is a candidate, but he didn't play 1B.

I was thinking Craig Counsell, but I don't think he played much first with his 5 foot nothing, 100 lbs soaking wet frame.

Tony was actually the first person who sprang to mind (for some reason I see him playing 1B). But you're right, it isn't him. And Counsell only played 4 games at 1B.

The guy we're looking for was mostly known as a 2B, had one exceptional year (getting some MVP votes), and a couple of pretty good ones.

Pop Tarts, any one?
