starting today, lucroy had 47 doubles which tied him with pudge for the most doubles by a catcher in a season. with 20 games to go he could blow that record away! well tonite he's added 2 for a total of 49 so far this season. CONGRATS to lucroy on his amazing record.

Well, he did lead the AL in triples in 1972... believe he's the only catcher to do so. That's got to be worth something.

McCarver led the NL in triples in 1966 with 13 as a catcher.

Lucroy has 42 doubles in 434 AB while catching, 6 in 53 AB while playing 1B, and 1 in 6 AB while DH.

In 1996 Pudge started 6 games as DH but not sure how many of his 47 doubles came in those six games.
