Each pitched a 1 hit shutout with the only hit being a triple. Cooper's was the earliest (on this list) and Castillo the last.

Very good, Corky. One-hit shutouts in which the one hit was a triple. But there is something even stranger in the cases of Cooper and Castillo than just the year that they pitched their masterpieces.

You must be referring to the fact that in Cooper's case the triple led off the game, and in Castillo's case it came with 2 outs in the 9th?

Exactly. Cooper's no-hitter was broken up on a triple by the first hitter and Castillo's by what should have been the last hitter with two outs in the ninth.
