Back to back to....

How about my bullpen giving up 5 consecutive homers in the bottom of the ninth to try to give away the game?...and then 3 consecutive strikeouts to end it?

15 hrs in the game too....

Actually...

This, is why I cut my active teams down from 7-10ish, to my commitments in private leagues only. (at the moment, only 2 current teams).

The bullpen logic (in general) is broken. I have been a lifetime fan of baseball, and never, have I seen the game lost, in the 9th inning, as in this game. (% of games that is)

it is soo insanely out of whack, that it has made the game a choir to me, and no longer a game.

I am keeping my current commitments to all private and theme leagues that I am in at the moment, but will not join anymore, or, any auto leagues till this is addressed somehow.

Seems to me, that from the 8th inning on, every hitter in the game is going to the mens room quick to do a line of coke, while every pitcher is doing the same, but theirs is a Quaalude cocktail instead.

The bullpen (closers in general) just need help from SOM is all. I can count on both hands, how many truly great closers there have been in the last 20 years. But, put a dozen or so great closers thruout the history of baseball, in one league, one team each, and put them against a league of the greatest hitters ever...

They don't stand a chance.

Its not about spending more on a bullpen or anything like that. The game is just broken when it comes the later stages of any game. Outside of re-writing some code for the late innings of games, there is no fix for this, and will just continue to happen.
