Typically, 17 hits should get ya a couple runs. Ol' dependable Jim Kaat with the help of Randy Myers gave up 17 and still served up goose eggs (must be getting ready for Easter). With Delivery Boy managing, it's the other way around at times. Got lucky this game.

Maybe if Harmon Killebrew wasn't trying to steal a base, must have been a botched bunt or H&R!

hard to imagine that the 2,3 and 4 hitters go 12 for 15 and nobody scores , time to get rid of the 3rd base coach.

What am I missing? It looks like Boggs' 1-7 single in the ninth was a split, single**. Does that not mean runners advance 2 bases, and Rollins should have scored?

With the online game asterisks are not used. It's up to HAL to run the base runners.

Asterisks not counting is one more thing that you might not know if you had never visited the boards. Much I was not aware of from just reading the posted rules and only learned from kind and helpful people on these boards.

In the ninth inning with 2 on, the batter singled to RF where Roberto Clemente's arm was waiting. Most of the singles were hit to CF Jelly Gardner who only has a -2 arm. Still, Hal should have been fired as 3B coach. 17 hits should have at least tied the score.
Sincerely,
Delivery Boy....

Incredible. One wonders if Kaat was upset when he was pulled while pitching a 14 hit shutout.
