http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/sim/1391799Johnny Grabowski hung around in the top 10-15 batters for most of the season. He came back down to earth the final 2 weeks of the season, but revived in my short post-season.
Anybody else have a sub million guy over perform?

John Tamargo comes to mind, also a host of rh platoon guys such as Gene Clines, Glen Beckert, George Burns, Bobby Morgan et.al.

Wally Backman has performed well for me a few times. Recent example:

KId Gleason and Jim Presley. To be fair it was a 45 mil cap but all in all not bad for a 59 center and an 88 center.

Visick,
how about this-
Catcher platoon of Severeid and Ruel (71 RBI), 1b platoon of Griggs and Jordan (>100 RBI), and 3b everyday starter Milt Stock (66 RBI). All under $1 million.
Although over $1 mil. Wambsganss at $1.13 was my starting 2b and did okay by me as well.
This was a $60 million cap and the team won the championship
