Off to a bad start record-wise, but I seem to be hitting but not scoring. Any lineup suggestions. Still at 5% penalty, so making changes isn't that harsh yet.

It looks like you are coming up short on HR (outhomered 43-13). Your park suppresses HR, but you play half your games on the road. Delahanty, Speaker, Brouthers and Wagner (is he playing 3B for you at 3e38) are costing top dollar for high batting averages. Cashing in one or more of those guys for ones who have more power, along with more walks might help. I think you can do better than Wagner if he is your 3B, though if he is a 1 at SS I would sell Appling.

I would agree that a homer dearth is going to be a problem. Your squad is certainly matched for Forbes, but unfortunately your division mates are playing in homer friendly parks. Even for a park like Forbes many here like to include at least one bopper in the lineup. The Wagner card you have doesn't have a SS rating so flipping him with Appling will cost some money, but I would think about swapping Brouthers out for somebody that will fit with your available dollars; I like Kluszewski (don't know if he's available) or someone else with power, ideally a leftie, given that Yankee Stadium is in your division also.
It's also early, so I think you can turn around in time to compete. Good luck!

You have the next 18 of 21 at home. I wouldn't make any changes yet except for dumping Berenyi. You want a starter only who will not pitch. If not, any reliever at that price should be a strict 9L or 9R specialist. Don't know your setting, but aggressive baserunning or H&R may help score more runs.

your problem is you're over-loaded with lhsps facing a heavy dose of rhb's. 2 of your lhsps are also rated 3L which means rhbs are getting the best sides of their cards for rhbs to hit. with the 3L split you're at a disadvantage against rhbs anyway. your lhsps have faced 333 rhbs compared to only 186 lhbs. at this point the dice actually have favored rolls on your 3 lhsps cards. you're in for a long season as this trend will continue but could get worse if the dice start equalizing to or favoring the hitters cards.

Agree. Nothing wrong with your hitting. You need right handed SP's

I agree with Steve F and scorehouse, I would probably lose McDowell and Kaat (maybe Nomo or Lincecum for McDowell and maybe Darling for Kaat) also I think I would get rid of Hanlon and pick up Tannehill or some other cheap late inning defensive 3b. I could live with LeFlore in center for 3 games at a time replacing Speaker. Just my 2 cents, good luck!
