I wouldn't worry too much about the injuries, but I've never had any luck with Guerrero at 3b. I'd move him to OF and get another 3bman

I actually have completed the season and am in the finals. I know people can get hung up on there only being one way to win. Just wanted to show that there is more than one way to skin a cat. http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/sim/1402149

Good job. But in a 60 mil league defense isn't near as important. Things that work in a 60 mil league won't be effective in higher money leagues. Winning with that kind of defense will be the exception. 80, 90, 100 and even 120 mil leagues are less hospitable to poor defense up the middle. 140 has its own quirks. 200 mil highly depends on your luck in the draft and the suitability of you not being the odd guy out in ball parks. If you are trying to play a righty park and your draft deal you leftys, you're screwed. Because nobody is going to part with their rightys and none are available in the wire. If you get crap relievers your in trouble. But anyways yes there are more ways to skin a cat but some ways let you win once in a while and others win consistantly.

For sure you can get away with worse defense at 60 mil but I frequently use Oquendo and Randolph up the middle in 80 and 100 mil leagues and I win with them. I am not trying to toot my own horn but I have been playing ATG since ATG 1 and I win at a very high rate. My barnstormer standings over the last several years should be enough to speak to that.

I started in ATG 2. Yep you can win with those guys just not consistantly enough for my taste unless you're in a league with few vets. I've played all the styles. Small ball, bomber, balanced. To win consistantly I am a firm believer in, trim the fat, and strength up the middle. Money on the field wins. There are other guys that are cheap that can play defense. I've won with Melillo .72 card at 2nd. Or E. Scott at ss. I regularly use Bowa, Weaver and Melillo. I guess I just like consistency a bit more.

I agree on trimming the fat. I never spend money on a bench and don't like to spend much on the pen.
