Options for Creating a League

For creating an ATG8 league, I know that we can set DH/no DH and also set the budget level.

What flexibility do we have for setting the player car set? As I recall, besides using the full set, we can select AL only, NL only, pre-WW2, or post-WW2.

How does the shuffle work? Do we specify how many cards to include?

Are there any other ways to create a subset, such as choosing other cut-off years or hand-picking certain franchises or teams?

According to the "create a new shuffle" page, you can set the number of cards in your deck, the maximum salary of any card in the set, and the number of ballparks available. From there it's luck of the draw.

Easiest way to do this is download the Excel Player File from the link on the Free Agent page that says
Download ATG 8 player list as Excel spreadsheet

Then simply remove the players you DONT want in your Player Pool and email your custom set to onlinegamesupport@strat-o-matic.com and they will create it and place it in the Shuffle scroll.

Sorry, I misread some of the post. If you want to create a Shuffle, you just select the number of players you want in the Shuffle and it randomizes your Player Pool.

If you want to create your own custom pool, follow my instructions above.

This is all good. I wanted to know what Ursoid said about shuffle and what Andy said about customized player pools.
