This will be used in the 5th player addition poll to ATG 8.

RULES

Only one nomination per user, please specify player and season by posting in this thread.

If two people select the same player but different seasons, only the first season will be used.

The first 40 valid nominations will be added to the poll next week.

Any players after the first 40 (or nominations for additional new cards for a player after the first) will not be used for the poll.

Remember only the top 20 of the 40 nominations used will be added to ATG 8

Sandy Koufax 1964.

By far his best Strat CARD. Great whip and ERA but not ruined by excessive ballpark homeruns, unlike the two cards that we have now. Much better than the 1966 card which may be seen in the superstar sixties player set. I know this because I have all the 1964 season cards.

If Strat hadn't gone overboard on the ballpark homerun thing, we wouldn't need this 1964 card. But because they did go overboard, we desperately need a Sandy Koufax card that represents just how good he really was. Easily the best pitcher I ever saw for his 4-year peak. only Maddux and Pedro come close to being as dominant as Koufax was.
