NOT putting on the hits ...

I built a high average team, or so I thought. About at the 1/4 pole for the season and the team average is .316. Soooo many guys underperforming in a singles hitters paradise (Forbes '57).

How long to I wait to blow it up?

http://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1417510

Partee 60 points below card
Brouthers 60 points below card
Avila 40 points below card
Boggs 130 points below card
Jennings 80 points below card
Delahanty only 10 points below card
Cobb 20 point ABOVE card
Browning 50 points below card
Keeler 110 points below card

8 of 9 are below card by as much as 130 points ... OUCH. So, do I just say screw it and blow it up or give them another week? They do have a good stretch coming up of home games over the next 10 days or so.

You need to wait until the number of home games equals the number of road games, right now you have 12 home games and 27 road games and are hitting .358 at home and .293 on the road so don't give up the ship yet....

I think whatever you were trying to do with your pitching is the problem. Id ditch Jennngs and try and build a better starting staff.

Not as concerned with winning as I am with putting up a batting average to contend for the record.

Considering this is ATG I don't really see a problem other than Boggs and Keeler having slow starts. Particularly with such a small number of home games. I would temper expectations with Partee.

Roy Partee has always been gold for me, highest Average Catcher in the game for under probably 6.00 mill. He typically hits .330-.340 in Forbes for me.
