6 Team Divisional Split League - FILLED - Draft in ILC
Posted: Thu Feb 04, 2016 4:27 pm
Looking for managers to select and draft from a "divisional league" format. We will have a random selection for order; then we will pick current MLB divisions (e.g., AL East, NL Central). Once selected, each manager will fill his team with players (any era) from teams that are in that division. For example, the manager selecting American League West would comprise a team from the Rangers, Astros, Angels, Mariners and Athletics.
Rules:
1. Salary Cap - $225 Million
2. No NEL players cards allowed. Satchel Paige's Cleveland card can be used by the AL Central Manager.
3. High Card Determines Ownership Thru Draft - for example, Mark McGwire is owned by the NL Central (St. Louis Cardinals) manager. If he is not selected during the initial draft, he may be picked up thru waivers or after by the AL West (A's) manager.
4. A Manager can only use a player's card that represents a team in the respective division, For example, the NL Central Manager could not use a Mark McGwire A's card.
5. All prior teams of a franchise belong to the respective division manager. For example, the NL West Dodgers include the Brooklyn Dodgers, the AL West Oakland A's include the Philadelphia A's, etc.
6. The National League East (Washington Nationals) will get allocated the Washington db pre- and post- franchises, as well as the Montreal Expos.
7. The St. Louis Browns belong to the AL East (Baltimore Orioles).
8. A Manager may not drop a starting Pitcher, choose one of his different cards, and then pitch him again in the following series. For example, Greg Maddux cannot start in Series 1 with one card, then get dropped and another Maddux card is used in Series 2.
9. If a player is injured, a Manager is allowed to drop that player's card and pick up a different card (as long as it belongs to a team in that division) for that same player. For example, the AL West Manager can drop an injured Al Simmons and pick up a different Al Simmons. However, such Manager could not drop an injured Nap Lajoie and pick up a different Nap Lajoie - since his other cards are for Cleveland (different division).
