I guess I should complete my list of mentors here after the Druid.
Andy Cummings, for his indefatigable management of is various theme leagues. I highly recommend these types of leagues for people who want to learn the card set.
DonFESQ - he's still the best manager here, especially at high caps.
Cristano - he has driven me to refine my analysis workbook just to keep up. He's still ahead of me in that regard.
BruceF - for teaching me about platooning, and playing in Petco.
Nev - for being a sounding board for some interesting discussions about the relative value of players.
SR2012 - for teaching me about righty parks.
OuttaLeftField and BDWard - for teaching me about lefty parks.
And thanks to all the regulars in Andy's theme leagues, the Armchair league, and the Goldrush league, for forcing me to upgrade my game just to keep up with them.
Thanks all. This is a very addicting hobby, and I still have much I need to learn. The playoffs are a crapshoot, and for this event I had the hot dice. And I walked off in the 9th in game 4 with Larry Walker out for the rest of the series, otherwise I would have been terribly likely to blow a 3-0 series lead. Dumb luck is your best ally here.
