Create your own goofy theme for your team.

I would ask that you please try to stay away from themes like: "How many games can I win" or "How best to win in Minute Maid"; etc. I'm thinking more of themes like: "Players who share the same birthday as me" or "Players of Irish heritage" or "Players who played for the Seattle Pilots", etc.. whatever floats your boat... just make it a fun theme in which you can still be competitive.

I'm calling this "The Gentleman's Theme League" because I hope this will be a league in which we will agree to help out other managers with their themes with trades, if the offers are reasonable and will still leave the recipient with a viable option to replace a traded player. (ie. "Can you trade me Larry Walker because my Canadian born theme pool of players is so limited? There a many other Right field options available to you")

We'll take a look at things after the draft to see if there are adjustments or clarifications to the rules which are necessary.

I might have beaten you to it; mine is an all-Eastern European heritage team!

I've done that awhile ago figuring I could combine Poles, Lithuanians and Russians, maybe some Ukrainians , but now I can make a whole team just Poles. I bet an all German or Italian team could be easily done also

I am going to enter a team today. It is going to be based on the list of the 50 most hated players of all time from the Bleacher Report. I have also added a few of my own to the list (Only about 4 or 5 additional names).

I also had another thought to add to my list of players to pick from. If everyone is ok with this, how about everyone in the league provide me with 3 or 4 of their most hated players and I will consider using them as long as they have an available card. Just an idea.

So, I have joined in and am the NEGRO-LEAGUERS. As you can tell, I will be trying to draft all Negro League players, which is a small group to choose from, not to mention not a big group of home run hitters. I'm not sure how this will work as if I loose too many to other teams, I'll will be forced to take non-Negro League players....so if you can or want to avoid them, it would be appreciated and if not, I may have to change my team name. )
