Ric, why such a high salary cap? What do mgrs. do with so much salary? Even if the average salary on the team was $10mil (which is not likely), that's a max of $280mil? I'd love to do a live draft, but they are always at such a high cap level and I just don't get it?

I didn't set it up, just trying to get the league filled.

I dont get the large salary cap either. I dont know what strat was thinking when they added a cap so high.

I hope you'll join this LD, Coffeeholic. It is a very good group of guys and I can't imagine anything more exciting than a LD focused on the top end of the set. Sure, 999m is budget overkill for just the reason you stated. Guessing, I would say most of the teams will end up in the 230m salary range. From what I have observed in this cap, there tends to be a bit more platooning and unique lineups for respective parks. Hopefully there will be a lively trading atmosphere. Not having to declare your ballpark until Sunday gives managers a ton of flexibility with their player choices for a couple of days.

Generally the reason for the 999M "cap" is to make salary entirely irrelevant. I think of 999 leagues as no cap leagues.

As league Commissioner, if this one doesn't fill by 7:45 p.m., please change the start time to 9:30 p.m. Uncle Rowser will be able to join for a 9:30 p.m. start but not at the listed 8:30 p.m. time. It has been my experience that sometimes 9:00 p.m. start times wouldn't fill but would fill if the start time got changed to 9:30 p.m. or even 10 p.m. after the original listed time didn't fill.

As of right now, there are still four openings.

I can play at 930, 10 would be better. Good luck filling.

I can second the experience with filling before 930, its usually tougher. I have been doing LDs for 10 years, 930 is usually the sweet spot.
