I always love this type of team theme league, so thought I would try to get one started:

140M, DH, waivers
4 round draft
Random division assignments
Randomized draft order
Select pitchers or hitters from any franchise (all eras) - see franchise list below
Pick 2 hitters groups and 2 pitchers groups

Because the first few picks have a major advantage, the draft order will be as follows:
1st round - draft order
2nd round - reverse draft order
3rd round - reverse draft order
4th round - draft order

5th round - 1 round FA draft based on reverse draft order

Ownership of multiple franchise players determined by highest salary card
Any multiple-franchise player not on draft card is eligible in waivers/free agency for any of his franchises with any of his cards
Free agent round includes Negro League players and players not carded to any of the selected franchises
Stadium from any of your franchises

Franchises are primarily driven by franchise affiliation, with some combinations based on limited rosters:

Red Sox
Cubs
White Sox
Tigers
Braves
Reds
Indians
As
Phillies
Giants
Pirates
Cardinals
Dodgers
Brewers
Mets
Orioles/Browns
Astros
Rangers
Padres/Angels
Marlins/DBacks

Expos
Blue Jays

That makes 28 franchises, or 56 1/2 half franchises, so there will be players from 8 half franchises plus the Negro Leaguers available in the 1 round FA draft.

You may select one other FA and place on your draft card or select during waivers. Maximum of 2 free agents on your rosters at any point during the season.

Will have 3 hour time limit on picks during normal business hours (9am-9pm CST), but will be flexible within reason. No weekend clock, but let us know your availability. Proxies can be sent to me. If you aren't sure if you will be around to check the boards, you can send me your email via PM and I will send a notice when your turn is up. If we fill today, draft will begin Fri AM (first teams could select earlier at their convenience). If we do not fill until later, draft will begin Monday AM or whenever we fill).

So some teams will maybe consist of 2 pitching halves and 1 hitting half, and some with 1 pitching half and 2 hitting halves?
Am I interpreting this correctly?

Amazing, when you think through all the minute details and miss the elephant in the room....

Thanks, guys. One other clarification on the randomization, since I've seen it done two different ways:

The first number on the RNG sequence represents the signup position of the first drafter. So, if the random sequence comes back 4,7,1,12,etc.... Joey would pick first, rburgh 2nd, me 3rd, etc.
