Boo Ferriss passed away today. When a promising career was cut short by injury, he moved back to his native Mississippi to coach baseball at Delta State University. I had the opportunity to meet Coach Ferriss and talk baseball and life on a number of occasions.

Anyone who knew Coach Ferriss would say he was the kindest, nicest man they had ever met, a true and genuine gentleman. At almost 95 years of age, his character and accomplishments exemplify a life well-lived.

Congratulations, Dave 'Boo' Ferriss, you truly are an All-Time Great.

Thanx for the Memoriam Andy. Just seeing it now looking for another older Thread to renew. Wish I'd seen it around Thanksgiving Weekend. Again, thank you. Wish I'd met him too! 95 years young.
