Anyone have this happen to them plus 130 run differential next highest in league +56. no playoffs.
Unfortunately I am in danger of doing it again +67 best in league probably will finish out of playoffs.
The first one a power team 2nd small ball.

Instead of "Win Big or Go Home".... your teams motto should be "Win Big AND Go Home"......

How close to playoffs did you come?

Did you lose a bunch of close games?

What is your analysis? Bad luck and / or other factors?
Regardless, +130 is quite impressive!!

Here's one way back in ATG5, led the league in runs and was second in run differential at +166, but finished in 3rd place at 82-80:

My team was tied with 3 other teams for 2nd fewest one run losses, being 15-19 in one run games and 6-8 in extra innings. The Kingdome was home, so lots of blow out wins there.

14-23 in one run games
at 40-44 I realized that my two lefty starters were getting tattooed so I dumped them for 2 righties who did much better and went 47-31 after that. finished at 87-75

Closest I've come is +125 differential but finished 80-82/3rd in the division. (Would've won the East though, oh well.)

Here's the Virgo Quadrigis, +142 with 89 wins but third in the division. The second-place team was very lucky in close games while I underperformed:

Here's PBR Streetgang, 86 wins at +130. Strange bifurcated league of haves and have-nots. The OBP offence did okay in one-run games and extras but still finished nine games under expected:

And here's the Divine Rights at +149, with 89 wins but a dismal 16-34 in extras and one-run games:

High-scoring teams are most prone to this because of the pythagorean thing, but I've had a few bad-luck +100s from pitching teams, too. The formula is bad luck plus a good division.
