YES you will
I found last draft much easier without the notorious copy cat.

King Copycat I presume. Also BTW, before I started this godforsaken thread, I did check Rosie's posts about the new cards so I knew about his mid-October estimate. Just thought it might be nice for the voice of SOM to whisper sweet nothings in our collective ears, maybe a vague hint or acknowledgement that new cards will actually be forthcoming. I know, I know, far too much to ask of our gaming overlords.

Hey Salt. 6th pick. First four picks for me: Hornsby, Mays, Dimaggio, Aaron.
You should take more Friday nights off!

Then took the two best lefty relievers, BJ and Wagner. Snagged Beckwith in the 7th and your boy for SS in the 8th. Of course my starting pitching is not the best but I have a nice pen so I imagine the team should do fairly well.

wow. Hard to understand why Beckwith was snubbed. Value-wise, I have him as a 3rd-rounder, and strategy-wise, he opens so many options, you can flip him from 3rd to 1st and thus grabbed a 3rd base-1st base platoon, or a dh-1st base platoon with Beckwith dh-ing vs rhp and playing first vs lhp without losing any value since his defense contributes minimally to the overall team value. Actually I am surprised that you went for a 2nd lefty reliever over him.
I even see some strategic value in his ability to catch or play ss in 200-M leagues where you are more limited in doing transactions!!

I have been having some success with B.J. Ryan and in the most recent live draft someone else grabbed him in the fifth. No one had ever done that to me before. The guy is simply unique, there is no other pure lefty reliever as good as he is against both lefties and righties. And since platoons abound at unlimited caps, and since I was already heading to Minute Maid, using Ryan as my middle man and even as set up turns a lot of opposing hitters around, making him even more effective. That decision wasn't even hard. The harder one was Wagner vs Beckwith vs Sutter in the sixth. But this was a strange draft all the way around and my intuition told me that Beckwith would somehow still be there. The guy is a solid 3rd round pick, certainly no later than the fourth, but as I said this was a very strange draft.

back to the post, Garcia's last post relating to the Baseball game was 8/3 (almost 2 months ago). He had one to try to explain the SP fiasco and one about football, but really his last regular blog was 8/3. guess someone's getting bored with his whole Strat job.
