One problem as I see it is that you're leaving lots of money on the table.
In your bullpen, your most expensive reliever (Works) is 4th in innings pitched. I would expand his role.
Also, you've spent $1.27m on a reliever (Seaton) who has thrown 3 innings. Meanwhile your cheap guys are mostly getting all the work.
On your bench, you have guys of $1.6m, $.95, $.93 and $.90 salaries that have combined for 13 at-bats. I would only ever spend that kind of money on bench players if they had a specific and relatively important role. For that kind of usage you should be paying those guys all $.5m each, or only a fraction higher.
Also, you're carrying 25 players and not using anything close to your whole roster. You are allowed to carry a minimum of 24, so it would have been best to have shaved another player off the roster, saving more money.
Completely disregarding strategy here, just the fact that there's a waste of around $3m on your roster is the root of your problems, in my opinion!
