My dad, who passed away last year at the ripe old age of 92, often spoke to me about Bobby Doerr, and everything he said about him, was good....good....good!

yes, baseball has lost one of its finest on and off the field. I learned what a great guy he was by the 2003 book the teammates, by david halberstam. RIP
