We don't get Garcia-grams anymore, but this "news" item caught my attention ...

Baseball Rookie Leagues
Baseball managers of Prospect (0-499 career wins) or Rookie (500-999) level may now join Rookie Leagues, which are Auto Leagues only available to other Prospects/Rookies, and may have up to 6 "bot" teams (manager-less teams on auto-pilot) added to them. Just look under the "Join an Auto League" option when your team is ready to join a league!

I started playing this sim way back when ATG didn't have a number on the TSN site, so I'm well past the point of being a rookie manager (I know I shouldn't care about this - but I do), and you know the idea of having up to six auto-pilot robot teams in a 12-team league seems like the wrong way to introduce a new generation of managers to the game. Wouldn't a default league size of 6 teams serve the same purpose and be a more realistic way for newbies to get their feet wet?

I'd be willing to "manage" a robot team for $5.00 if I could specify the % mix of offense and defense I want, then let the computer manage draft and manage team from there. Who knows, there's a small chance it could win a credit or two that way.

If they want to have "bot" teams in these rookie leagues, at least that would create some variety in the mix.
