Barnstormers 2018 Signup List

No major changes are expected from the 2017 tour with respect to league salary caps or overall rules. Tweaks to some of the Finals details may be considered during the tournament. If you've played in the past several years, I'll be sending out an e-mail invite which you can just reply to. If you're new to the tour, our main page with all of the rules is here.

This is a minimum 5 or 6 event commitment from approximately April to October 2018 and longer if you make the semi-finals or finals. Champion receives 4 Tickets to a MLB game of your choice plus the board or computer SOM game. Runner-Up receives 2 Tickets.
This tournament uses e-mail. If you're a new player, you will need to let me know one or two e-mail addresses if you want to play. Use the below e-mail address and send me your e-mail.

Rick: Thanks for posting info about the Barnstormers 2018 Tourney. In the 2016 tourney, and promised in 2017, for the Finals Championship League, the prizes for the playoff teams included the right to pick new cards for the ATG set, with the champ getting to add 5 new cards, the runner up getting to add 3 new cards, and the two semifinalists getting to add a card each. I saw no mention of such in today's ad for the 2018 tourney. The opportunity to add new cards kept me interested in the tourney, and I strongly suspect that it motivated others to participate fully as well, given the record number of participants.
I was hoping that the ability of the participants to add cards would be expanded in 2018, not retracted, as adding the extra cards has not been problematic and the opportunity to add the new cards has kept interest in the tourney high.
Could you be so kind as to update the community as to what opportunity, if any, there will be for 2018 tourney participants to add new cards? I'll await your answer before making a decision as to whether to sign up for the tournament.

Bernie, at the link posted above for the main 2018 tournament page, under the "Prizes" section, SOM has listed 5 new cards can be picked by the Champion. I recall them telling me that the Runner-Up can choose a lesser number of cards too, but SOM did not seem to list the details on the page. As I recall, I tried to get more cards for other Barnstormers Finalists, but was shot down. I'll get the Runner-Up award clarified and added to the Prizes pages. - Sorry I neglected to note that here. I'd just about forgotten about that additional prize. Whether SOM will be open to further expansion is doubtful, but I'll swing for the bleachers in my discussions with them. I'll also confirm whether the "card each" for the other Finalist playoff losers is still on the table.
