Colin Moran became the third Pirate to hit a grand slam in the home opener. Who were the other two?

I'm thinking you watched the broadcast yesterday too. That's right - curiously, both the others were in the 3rd inning (1949 and 1962) if I remember correctly.
I have not been so pessimistic - Cole always made the big mistake in close games for us, and Cutch is a shadow of MVP Cutch of 2013. Moran and Dickerson (or Meadows) will easily replace the offense of Cutch and whoever was going to play 3rd, and the defensive hits we take at 3rd and LF will easily be made up by moving Marte to CF where he will be miles better than Cutch.
The whole season rests on the development of Bell, Polanco, Taillon, Kuhl, and Williams, and on finding a 5th starter from among Musgrove, Brault, and Glasnow. Early returns on all of those who have made it onto the field are positive so far, but there's a long way to go and history is full of guys who have had huge Aprils and sucked most of the rest of the year.
