I was just curious to see how folks were actually performing so far in the current tournament, especially as 36 managers have played 18 less games than the rest of the field. The metric I used is aggregate regular season win pct, which I believe is the best measure of manager performance.

So here's the results as of 7/1/2018 for the top 9 performers
1. djmacb .617
2. The Last Druid .602
3. Cristano1 .598
4. Hallerose .588
5. Mesquiton .586
6. Goreds .584
7 tmfw30 .581
8. Bernie Ward .580
9. Labratory .579

It would seem that your unbridled animus is exceeded only by your coruscating intellect. There has only been one playoff so far genius. Event two playoffs don't even start until tonight.

Thanks, that was useful. I was getting bogged down trying to figure out where I really stood with the leagues staggered. -matt

Or perhaps….

you have had 31,783 rolls the outcome has been favorable 16,021 times 259 more successful than not, sounds pretty close to normal, except it is actually an outlier and is better than 93% of all other random chances or rolling 31,783 times. It gives a differential of 518 against your opponents - since by definition they had to have 259 unfavorable, which is close to 65 runs from random luck over your opponents. So by run differential 7 of your wins are luck and should be deducted from your total wins.

Next time tell me regular season stats like this are going to be tracked. I never try in the regular season, but I might start taking it seriously if I knew my .598 would be called out.

So are you saying it was more or less luck that gave you an almost perfect 200M auto draft, excluding relievers, which we know you disdain; not to mention the absolutely perfect starting staff at 60M where you are are on track for at least 108 wins. Imagine what you could have accomplished if you were actually trying. :!:

I know, your secret weapon is Carl Reynolds. Soon folks will be putting him at the top of their draft lists.

After you won the 2017 tourney, there was a sudden inundation of teams with 4 10M starters and little to no bullpens. Most were spectacular failures. That approach is easily countered during a live draft by a few extreme hitting parks and/or a no dh rule. Promise you'll try that again this year!
