Doesn't Carl Crawford seem about 2 million dollars too expensive? Have you ever seen anyone use him? I am glad they gave him a card, but it probably should be up to 2 million dollars less. Am I wrong?

Have you noticed other newer cards that seem a bit overpriced when compared with the rest of the set?

I agree. But then I feel that way about most "1" range corner outfielders ;)

I agree also but I feel part of the problem is the impact the ballpark factors have. The game is so geared towards Home Runs players like Crawford get marginalized to the point of being rarely if ever used.

1 defence in LF, in-between platoon split, awkward marriage of small-ball attributes and BPHR. The price may be right for what's on the card, but he has no natural home in a winning park.

Just used him for the first time ever. Small Ball team in Forbes '09 and was actually pretty pleased with his performance ...

314/376/460 is not chopped liver in that ballpark. And from a 1(-1) e2 outfielder who stole 33 bags in 46 attempts, it's spectacular.

I used him in Petco on a base-stealing small ball club. Not terrible:

He faced significantly more LHP on the Petco team than on the Forbes 09 team. His card does good things in the right environment, but stinks in other environments.
