rburgh has created the first 24-team, 200M Cap Live Draft.

The draft will have a 3-hour time limit for picks with clock active from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday. Although the clock will be off on weekends, picks can still be made, so the draft will keep moving. Draft is currently set to start on June 30th at 9:30 PM, however, if we fill earlier, official start will be moved up to 9:00 AM on the 2nd morning after the league fills

The use of “proxy lists” will make the draft run faster. Proxies and other whiz-bangs will also work if the clock is off. Every now and then someone on vacation in Alaska or someplace with no access, however, draft typically keeps moving even when the clock is off. That said, draft could take a few weeks to complete.

#1 – if you are unfamiliar with the Live Draft feature, you can run mock live drafts to get familiar with the tool. See Mock Live Drafts on the Community menu
#2 – SOM’s live draft tool works very well on a mobile phone, so you can easily keep up with the draft without sitting at your computer

I just want to say that this is a much less painful way to get into the $200 million cap than either the regular Friday night live drafts or autodrafts at any similar cap. You'll have time to investigate the top cards that will be available to you at your next turn at a relatively leisurely pace, rather than having to make up your mind in a few minutes and then seeing the one guy you want go the pick before your turn.

Yes, the draft will be slow, but it will be about the same pace as is currently used for startup of current day keeper leagues, and those are very popular.

As a west coaster, I'd sure like to see the daily clock not start before 9 am EST

You can leave proxies the night before, or even make your pick when the clock is off. Just because the clock is off, there's no bar to making a pick.

I agree. I live in California - IMO this is a manageable problem. I am by nature impatient, so my main concern is to keep the draft moving.

I'd also point out that clock runs only on weekdays and you can make your pick via your phone, so it's really just a quick check-in on the mobile app while you are standing in line for your morning coffee at CBTL.
