The Batavia Barn Dogs led the entire 2019 BSers field of 150+ teams with 104 wins and a +272 run differential while playing in a stadium that strongly favors lefty hitters, League Park '34. Here's a link to the team:

The Kent Angry Squirrels, with a record of 80-82 and a -42 run differential, had the worst record of the 56 playoff teams while playing in Veterans Stadium '78, a power park that favors neither lefty nor righty batters. Here's a link to the team:

The Barn Dogs' record was 24 games better than the Angry Squirrels' record. If the Angry Squirrels were in the Barn Dogs' division, three teams would have finished ahead of the Angry Squirrels, but it's the playoffs and none of that matters now.
Conventional wisdom has it that parks that favor lefty batters are the easiest parks in which to field a winning team and the first 3 games of the series held true to form.
Then the roof caved in on the Barn Dogs, who lost the next 3 games, including an 18-0 drubbing in game 5 by the Angry Squirrels, who apparently were REALLY ANGRY! Returning home for game 6 did the Barn Dogs no good, as they lost again.
Tonight the Barn Dogs face a hungry, angry, scrappy and squirrelly opponent for game 7 with lefty killer Chris Sale on the mound for the Squirrels. Sale squares off against Randy Johnson, who won 11 of his last 12 starts to become the 4th 20 game winner on the Barn Dogs' staff. The winner goes to the Finals, while the loser will be watching on TV.
While the Barn Dogs still seem to have the odds in their favor, the smart money is on the Angry Squirrels.
Stay tuned.
