I just noticed that Al Jackson passed away and it struck me that he doesn't have a card here in ATG. As a little kid and Pirates fan I remember Bob Prince talking about him beating Bob Gibson 1-0 one year in the final or almost final game of the season. He (Prince) seemed to me to have a soft spot for Jackson, mentioning him frequently - at least in my memory - and then I discovered that Jackson came up with the Bucs in 1959, possibly explaining that affection.

I'm surprised Mets fans here haven't campaigned to get him into the Strat fold.

RIP, Mr. Jackson.

AJ played on the inaugural 1962 Mets team, and he was on the 1967 St. Louis Cardinals World Series team. Nelson Briles and Dick Hughes from the '67 Cards are represented in ATG, but not Jackson.
