Ever Happen

PostFri Sep 06, 2019 3:56 pm

I have a team ending tonight in a tough fight to make the playoffs. I currently have the league best run differential, the closest run diff to me is some 50 runs behind in the differential and probably not a playoff team. Has anyone had this before? https://365.strat-o-matic.com/league/440541

But, if Joe sweeps you tonight, he's got the tiebreaker on you. 7 teams still have a chance on the last night...………..

That was a great divisional race. A 1-2 split in the 9th inning of game 161 away from a 3 way tie.

I'm sure I've seen or had a team that was shut out of the playoffs with the best run differential before. If I find the team I'll share.

Here's the last one I remember. Lost out to Andy for the wildcard.

I know I missed the playoffs once with 90 wins and 3rd in my division based on tiebreakers.

I was in a 24 team league a few months back where 3 teams in my division finished with 100+ wins.

Fortunately it was a 24 team league so we all made the playoffs, were it a 12 team league a 100 win team would have missed the playoffs.
