Really dumb

I'm currently in a post-WW2 ATG $80M cap league. No DH.

I know no one in it. The league title is Boys of Summer.

My roster is still at $80M. I haven't made a add drop move. Last night I played a guy who has made so many moves his roster value is $52M....

He took 2 of 3 from me last night. That's ridiculous!

I'm now 72-60 and he's 60-72. With a $52M roster playing teams at $78M plus...he should be 40-92!!!

That's really dumb that's he's competitive with a roster value difference like that.

He has had 21 teams and a 512 winning percentage.

Is there something in the programming that's broken...where he gets an advantage by making a zillion moves?

Yep, that's the guy. I asked him once why he did that , and he replied "I'm trying to make my team better". You just can't argue with stupid.

SOM RULES:
Salary dumping. You may not jettison talent from your team, hold a "fire sale", or otherwise make wholesale changes to your roster that reduces the overall salary value of your team.

Is this a case of salary dumping? According to the SOM rule quoted, perhaps.

Speaking for myself, though, I think that salary dumping probably requires a significant reduction in the competitiveness of the team. Otherwise the GM is just having fun, and what's the harm in that.

60-72 is an over 45% winning rate. I've had worse records when I dumped no one.

If it makes his team much weaker and lose more often then he maybe helping a teams in his division win more often and make the wildcard when it may not have or get the home field advantage by winning more games and finishing in first place. That's the problem.

The “Problem” I have with this ...is what I believe...is Hal’s version...of...”don’t let anyone stink too bad so they keep coming back for more credits”.

Again, with that roster value disparity he should be losing 2 of 3 minimum every night.
