When you draft Ruth 1918 or 1919, you get his batter and pitching card for that year -

I'm not sure the game engine can handle that.

Of course you can't draft Ruth for those years as he does not have ATG cards for those years.

BUT, that said it would seem high time that pitchers should have cards based on their exact hitting stats instead of the 1-8 nonsense that the game has been using since 1961.

That's the idea, Druid. Four new ATG cards 1918 & 1919 two-way Ruths

If the game engine can't handle it, then, just create 4 new cards. We can regulate how they are used in our leagues ourselves

The current game engine can, and does, handle individual pitcher hitting cards. But the engine they are using for the ATG game is nowhere near the current engine, I suspect they have just grandfathered the engine that was current when ATG 1 was introduced.
