hold rating is the same. 20-16 or 18-16 better stealing odds and why?

depends on how often they get a good lead

instead of hold rating being the same I meant lead rating. my bad. i.e., both get the same lead which one has the best chance of stealing per the dice?

20-16 has a 10% better chance of being safe if he gets a lead ,if they fail to get a lead they have an equal chance of being safe or out. The number you didn't include were the jump numbers.

It depends on what the net hold/arm is, if it is +1 or higher they both have a 95% success chance with a lead. At zero hold the 20-16 has a 5% edge with a lead and at -2 the 20-16 has a 10% edge. Overall the 20-16 will be able to steal more bases assuming same logic by HAL as good holds have less effect on the 20-16.

i've never got a grasp on stealing. plus with the HUGE player pool now, seems like every catcher is a -2 or better, and 2 out of 3 SP's you face have negative hold ratings. this month is steal month for a credit. i'm interested to see the results especially since your team record has to be over 50%. anyway, i think that's how it works. all those teams, still haven't figured out how to make HAL 's Bullpen management better? so tired of being ahead in games and HAL putting in my mop up and behind and late RP's to promptly blow the game!!
