What's better?

RF 2e12 CF 2e4 LF 2e3 (all 0 arms)
or
RF 3e3 CF 2e12 LF 1e4

Thanks!

I would do the first one. CF has one more X chance to hit and that e12 scares me.

Errors are not affected by range nor positions when it concerns outfield.

With both centerfielders having a 2-range, the difference between the two situations is tiny. But the combination of 2e3 + 2e4 in the cornerfield is very slightly better than having a combination of 3e3 + 1e4. The same number of hits, but the 2-2 allows more singles than doubles whereas the 3-1 combo allows an equal amount of singles and doubles.

Thanks for this explanation, Marc. Would there also be a slight advantage to having a lower number of errors in CF? I ask because I have these two guys in a current OF. Who do I play in RF and who in CF?

EARL AVERILL (1936): cf-1(0)e9 / rf-1e9 / lf-3e9
TURKEY STEARNES (NeL): cf-1(0)e7 / rf-1e7 / lf-1e7

They're obviously very close, but guess is that there might be a slight advantage to having Turkey in CF because errors in CF might more often be for extra bases. Would this be true?

No advantage. Even though we look at cf more often, the coding of errors is done so that the risk of errors remains the same (for a same e rating) regardless of the position.
