A guy who was underappreciated in his time, his skill set would've been more appreciated now...…...

When the Dodgers got him in1974 he had shoulder and arm trouble, but he could still hit!!! He replaced Willie D (The 3 dog) in center, a very popular player, and helped lead the team to the world series against the A's. One of the greatest memories of my teen years was Joe Ferguson taking a catch away from Jimmy in game 1 and nailing Sal Bando at home.

Great play, amazing throw. The funny thing is if Bando had simply slid he'd have been safe as he almost reached home plate anyways. I probably never thought it would be close.

And why exactly is Ferguson a +2 arm in RF???

Actually he's a +2 @ catcher, but a -2 in RF.

I saw him play in the Astrodome. Joe Morgan highly praised his hitting skills. He played most of his career at Astrodome and Dodger Stadium.

A die hard Dodger fan, I flew down to Houston to catch a double header on July 25, 1974. Told my Texas friends that Wynn was going to rip them a new one.
Here are the boxscores of that double header
