I'm not crazy about this. I liked the consistency of the season always starting on a Monday.
BUT, if they're going to do this, how about shortening the wait period for waivers? Make it the day after the draft instead of 2 days after. The way it is now, we'll have only 1 day to fix teams between waivers and season start.

Completely agree with Steve. Additionally, I like knowing without looking at my teams when playoffs begin etc. It helps to know that semi's always start on Monday's and finals always start on Saturday's.
What would be immensely more helpful IMHO would be playoffs where there is only one game a night. That would be a real game changer in terms of increased managerial control and drawing out the excitement of the playoffs themselves.

I like that (one playoff game per day) too!

Strongly agree.

I didnt like it either but the official "word" on this is that for themes or special occasions, you can request that a league be delayed as usual. Also, other "options" may soon be released that may make this easier without sending a request to support. This directly affected the way I run Barnstormers. I "pitched my bitch" but as long as we still will have more control of this going forward, we all benefit. Regarding the one playoff game per day, I like it too - will see what they say.

I agree. I like having the weekend to finalize the roster.
If there's only one day between clearing waivers and first pitch, it will be a significant disadvantage to managers who have other commitments. On weekdays, I sometimes don't even get a chance to check on my existing teams.

It's great that they are making changes, I just don't think this one should have been anywhere near the top of the list.
But have long loved the idea of ONE playoff game per night like many others.

Agree on all counts here. But this is the kind of stuff that perplexes me regarding where are they getting these requirements from? Is there a monkey in a room somewhere making random "enhancement" selections or some translation of ink blots we don't know about?
Seems pretty clear you would weight your enhancement requirements/update cycles based on the most active players and work your way down.

I concur. I'd much rather have waivers one day sooner and only a single playoff game per night.
Not thrilled with teams starting on random nights during the week. I far prefer the consistency of opening on Monday night.

Leagues start sooner = leagues end sooner = more $$$ because of faster turnaround
