Good news: The official announcement has been posted for all to see, so we know for sure it is definitely coming.
Bad news: The announcement said in "a few week's time". It's anyone's guess what that actually means, but based on past delayed timelines for the arrival of new cards, we shouldn't expect it until the first week of May at the earliest.

The announcement says "hundreds of new cards". Only 50 in the queue have been voted on in the ATG card add polls. Can't wait to find out who they chose. I'd love to know how too.

Potentially good -- but yes, would be nice to know how these new cards were decided upon and by whom.
as you say a few weeks is not a meaningful term here- but im guessing in this case they are going to make the effort at least to get this done before may is out.

"featuring all-new salaries for every player from ATG 8"
Wonder what Bud Weiser's new salary will be?

wow--that part is a surprise. And based on what I wonder. No matter--many will all be "wrong" again, some more than others. Just will create new values, which is good.

Knowing Strat,
Hundreds of new cards = repriced cards.

It seems to me that SOM may have slightly modified its business model in the fourth quarter of last year when they began soliciting community feedback. That was pretty much unprecedented since TSN kicked them to the curb and SOM took over full operation of the online game. Now with the economy shut down and spiraling toward a Depression that will likely dwarf the Great Depression of the last century, they suddenly need the revenue stream we generate for them. So I absolutely believe that there will be hundreds of new cards added in addition to the repricing of all the existing cards. Ominously though, they seem to be trying to buy time with the latest pronouncement about ATG 9's pending release, so they may have underestimated how long it takes to trot it out. I would take a "few" to mean more than two at any rate, likely three or four, which would not sync, as Moose noted, with the 2020 Barnstormers Tour launch. Hopefully SOM will make every conceivable effort to get 9 out before the end of the month and if not, then there is some flexibility in the start date for the next tour.
To ease the pain of waiting, I will ask John Garcia to release teaser cards, as Bernie Hou did with the new iterations of ATG that he oversaw.

I’m wondering if the “hundreds of new cards” means swapping in super advanced cards. Well, we’ll see eventually.
