Can someone tell me why?

The final play of the game, Willie Wilson rolls a 6-8 on Rick Aguilera. Should be a fly out to CF, instead it's a single and we lose in the 10th! Probably would have lost anyway because Aguilera was F0, and I guess HAL would not bring in Duren because of 58 pitches thrown by him two days previous. Terrible bullpen logic! Yes Aguilera was my closer and Duren is middle and mop up, but F0, c'mon!

Yeah not sure because "similar to POW, PCF affects readings on pitcher cards preceded by an "@", but it doesn't automatically turn them all into SINGLE**. Instead, it is a more gradual effect, and the variety of the resulting penalties is greater." But 6-8 is not preceded by an @. There always to be a "secret menu" we dont know about...

From game instructions:

Bringing the Outfield In at the End of the Game

You may position the outfield IN at the end of the game when the winning run is on third with less than 2 outs. When the outfield is positioned IN make the following adjustments.

Consider all readings of "flyball A" and "flyball B" to be single with the runner on third scoring automatically.
On a reading of "flyball B?" subtract 7 from the baserunner's speed instead of adding +2.

Thank you paul8210, I knew there was probably some rule I couldn't find.
