Move over Connie Mack!

Here's a fellow (pearl1234) who is off to a 648-0 start in his managerial career! What's the secret to his success?!!

Maybe playing with 200 million (or more) salary teams while his opponents spend 15 million? Why do people bother with this nonsense? I would say boot all the owners but who cares? Let them throw their money away unless it affects legitimate owners.

that's totally bogus and unfair criticism. i'm in a few regular leagues with him, mostly auto 80 mil. i'm in one league where he is 36 games out and i be 14. most leagues his teams r excellent but no shenanigans at all. now why or how those numbers got posted, ask HAL?

He's played 4 full bogus perfecto seasons in 6-team leagues of his own design. Somewhere out there there are least 5 to as many as 20 "managers" with .000 winning percentages. Notice that he has never won a playoff game, which is only true for 6 team leagues.

But SOM doesn't keep a running total of our wins and losses, a manager's won loss record only updates after each season is over. So he gets to bask in the glory of pseudo perfection until one of his current teams finishes. Then the winning percentage will plummet but still remain artificially high.

This league starts playoffs tomorrow, so in a couple of weeks his winning percentage will drop to .850 or so. He was fortunate, he won 70 games, but the pythagorean has him at 59 wins. That's what happens when you buy Gipson, Mantle, and Bagwell's ballpark homeruns and you put them in Petco.

Also he made 18 free agent transactions, so his final roster value was $92M.

If you click on his "Full Trophy Case ..." link you see a whole lot more activity than just these 4 teams.

I suspect that Pearl1234 may have just been having some fun with extra credits.

Not sure why his entire W-L record does not show on his manager page.

Trophy achievements only go back a few months and it seems to only list those 4 "super" teams so I don't see any inconsistency with his record. It does list 7 play-offs but I think play-offs gets listed before the record gets recorded, so apparently he is currently in 3 play-offs.

Probably 3 more 162-0 record Championships on the way!
