Looking back, saw one of my teams that had Wilcy Moore at 412 innings and 32 wins, and then Mariano Rivera at 204 innings!

i think it should be of many added league setup options. power to the people. no different than salary restrictions, frenzy, DH, drop %, etc.

I haven't played ATG-9 yet, but have a few ATG-9 reliever questions for those that have
1) For an R3 or R4 reliever, what would be a range of expected innings you'd get out of them during the course of a season with the new ATG-9 reliever restrictions?
2) If you have a stud R3 or R4 (who is your best reliever) and assign him the setup role, assign noone in the bullpen to the closer role, and have some starters with quick hooks, would your stud reliever often come in for the 7th inning and then pitch 3 innings to finish the game? Or would you get late in the game and Hal concludes that a closer is now needed and bring in one of your other nonstud relievers to pitch the 9th (or possibly the 8th & 9th)?
2a) Same scenario as 2, but your starter goes 8 innings and a closer is needed. Since no closer is designated would Hal bring in your stud reliever to close since he is the best statistically, or is this foolish wishful thinking?
I realize if you haven't done 2, you may not know the answers to 2 and 2a.
Thanks.

So much better when new settings allow Greg Maddux to start two games and relieve two games to start the season!
The approval for improved realism? Maddux pitched 5008 innings in his career 7 innings were in relief.

None of the Maddux cards are rated for relief.
On that team, all of the RPs have a fair amount of innings pitched (24.1 total) for the team only playing six games. Did it have a couple of long extra-inning jobs that might force HAL to bring in a guy from the rotation because all the RPs were fried?

had a 10 inning and a 12 inning game, all the starters other than maddux appear to be on quick hook and relievers appear to be set to aggressive, using about 6-7 pitchers per game. An interesting concept as according to new reliever rules all should be effected, but Maddux was F9 even after starting 2 games and relieving two games over a 5 game stretch. maybe since Maddux does not qualify as a reliever rules dont apply to him.

Even with six relievers on the roster, it seems that much use and they'd be sometimes coming into games with reduced fatigue and/or endurance. Be interesting to see how it plays over a couple weeks.

What roles (if any) are you using? I assume everyone in the pen is avoid right or lefty. Also is relief set to aggressive, are the starters set to quick hook?

It is not my team I merely had the pleasure of having Maddux win one game in relief and start the next and suffer no fatigue and thought it interesting.

I'd guess there have been so many big problems to fix in the relief code that the hiccup that burned you hasn't floated to the surface for Strat yet. Be nice to see that tweaked in the next update.
