I've had a bunch of teams like that lately. It's like a continual sandblast to the face. My experience has been that when a team gets off to a huge negative roll total, it does not get evened out as the season goes along. They just stay mired in the hole.

I often get a negative number on my pitchers, but this is driven by merciless exploitation of my better pitchers.

If a manager uses "slow" settings for some pitchers, and/or the do not relieve before X setting, then that can be one driver for negative pitching rolls.

On the hitting side I am usually pretty even, typically with a tiny favorable tilt (presumably because other managers are also stretching out their star pitchers).

Good luck Steven!

This makes a lot of sense. My pitchers often have a slight negative tilt: about a 45 PA lean to the hitters. And I often have a similar tilt in favor of my hitters.

Steven's result, by contrast, seems like an extreme example of a bad-luck outlier.
