The ATG card shows 1/N for his endurance and closing ability, But he saved 49 games that year. Can you close with this card? Why is this card error not changed?
Anyone?

It's because the closer rule is not used in ATG

A few closers-- Eckersley included-- have an N rating, and I'm not sure why. But like SteveF said, it's irrelevant because you won't be using the closer rating anyway.

Possible the original Eckersley card was created before the closer ratings were created and either this season has not been updated or it has been updated on cdrom but we are playing with the original chevy card version.

But as others have said since closer rule not used here it is not relevant. However the card not having a closer rating is not because we are not using that rule. Note there are multiple closers in ATG that have that closer rating on cards in spite of the rule not being used.
