Leagues you can't do anymore

The Good Ole Days thread is starting to go to another place,so I thought I'd try another...

Was looking back through old teams from ATG I and remembered a couple leagues we did back then that's not possible now because of the random division assignments. Back then we could enter divisions in a certain order. I'm thinking we should get that option available again for new leagues. They were so much fun..

The Identi League - The 12 of us all drafted the Identical team for 2 seperate leagues. We all entered the 2nd league Identical to the first league so all divisions were identical. Just to see if teams or dice made the difference.

The 12 League Challenge - 12 of us committed to 12 leagues. Team #1 got to draft their dream team, then team 2 and so on...we each obviously got to draft 1-12. We would arrange divisions 1-4-7-10, 2-5-8-11, 3-6-9-12. Amazing how often your dream team didn't win the Title!

In another league, PJMB, Munich_Man and myself drafted all scrubs. We let the other 9 draft their teams and gave the 1 day to finalize their rosters. Then the 3 of us had a draft of the FA left, We arranged so that we all were in the same division. Of course I got my ass kicked because dem guys were good!!

Just some fun and different league ideas we could do then....back when all we thought about was playing baseball!!

This is an option for the league creator:

Randomize division assingments
Yes (default) - Teams are randomly assigned to divisions when the league fills
No - Divisions are determined by the order users join a league

Last time there was a 12 season challenge league with the old guard, I drafted my team 12th. That means that teams 1-11 drafted their entire rosters before I could draft even one player.

I won that league and that was the end of the 12 season commitment. The league was prompted by FrannyZoo in a nostalgic moment, but after team 12 won, there was evidently no interest from the other 11 participants in continuing the commitment. Too bad, I was looking forward to it.

I will post a link to that team and to any identical leagues I can find that I participated in back in the day as well.

I was part of the "Petrodream" 1 and 2 leagues. These were $200M leagues with the franchise values ranging from $165M to $105M. Team #1 had a $105M cap and got to draft the entire roster first. Each succeeding team received an extra $5M for each step down in draft position. This was supposed to be a 12 team commitment, but it appears to have petered out after two leagues.

This was ATG4, so the player pool was not nearly as deep as it is now.

Faulty memory on my part? I was sure Franny Zoo was involved in the genesis of the league and that it only lasted one season. I think it was much later than ATG 4, because he hadn't played for quite some time.

The league fell apart because Munich Man failed to respond to multiple contact attempts to get a team in to season 2, not because there was no interest on the part of the other managers, I clarified that from reading the 30+ league messages.

If anyone wants to do the identical league theme, I would be willing to play.
